The linear actuators consist of an extruded light-alloy profile with structural functions and of a complete and integrated linear system. The same type of actuator can be supplied in different lengths, even cut to size for the customer, equipped with accessories and fixing elements. A slide borne by guides assembled within the profile run on the latter, driven by a transmission device, again housed within the profile and motorised from the outside.
The complete system is not only stand-alone – in other words it does not need to borne along its axis, nor does it need structures that contain it to guarantee ruggedness and resistance to strain – but it is also protected against external agents, to avoid contamination that could deteriorate the internal elements. The internal positioning system may be made up of profiled recirculating ball guides or track rollers with raceways. It is on the other hand driven by a belt or ball screw. Various levels of carrying capacity, strokes and repeatability precision can be obtained. Its pre-arrangement to be fitted onto the drive and the various accessories required to fix it, make it a ready-to-mount system, offering installation and operational versatility.
Not to forget is the advantage that can be obtained from a point of view of appearance and clean design, seeing as it does not even need to be treated externally and requires very little, if no maintenance at all.
